Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Our volunteer system is now up and running. Please click here for the volunteer application through the Verkada system or scan the QR code below. The application can be completed from your phone or home computer.

🔍 What You’ll Need to Apply:

  • A valid TB test result (must include the date, provider name, and patient’s name)

  • A valid government-issued photo ID

  • A photo of the volunteer

  • A certificate of completion of Mandated Reporter Training

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, all Level 1 volunteers are required to complete "AB 1913 - A Tool to Protect Our School Community" (formerly Mandated Reporter Training).

To support this requirement, the 2026-2027 volunteer application includes a designated area for applicants to upload their certificate of completion that has been done in the previous 90 days.

Here are the steps to access the training.

Step 1: Access the JPA Learning Library

Step 2: Create an account

  • Click on “New User” and fill in the requested information.
  • Be sure to save the log-in information for future years!

Step 3: Learn!

  • Navigate to the Catalog section located at the top.
  • Locate and enroll in AB 1913 A Tool To Protect Our School Community.
  • Complete the course and print or save a copy of your Certificate of Completion as a PDF.
  • Upload your PDF certificate to your Level 1 Volunteer Application for approval before your first day of service.

For more information on volunteering in PUSD, you can also visit our district website.

Important Reminders:

  • You MUST apply with the exact name on your government ID
  • Please do not call the office with volunteer-related questions. All requests must be submitted through the Verkada system.

  • If you have previously submitted your TB test to the office and need a copy, please stop by to pick it up.
  • Taking a photo of your documents on your phone while filling out the application will upload more easily than a file.

*You will need to bring a valid government-issued picture ID each time you come as a volunteer or visitor.
